 Come away, O human child!

What is Fairy Land Festival?

The Fairy Land Festival is a fundraiser for the Wolfeboro Area Children’s Center to be held on Saturday, July 9th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Cate Park.  The fundraiser will include a tour of locally crafted “fairy houses” and an assortment of child-oriented activities.

What is a Fairy House?

Fairy houses are tiny homes built with “found” natural materials and a giant pinch of creativity.  Twigs, stones, leaves, shells, bark, pine needles, leaves and acorn caps become foundations rafters, roofs, soft floors, and dishes.  The design possibilities are infinite as is the enchantment of nature that can be achieved through this activity for all ages.

What part do I have in this?

We are hoping that you and family members and/or friends will choose to support this fundraiser through the construction of a fairy house for display at the festival.  We hope to tap into your imagination and creative spirit.

How does this benefit me?

With the timing of this “never been done in Wolfeboro” event so close to the 4th of July and in such a central location, we are hoping to attract many of all ages. You will know that through your efforts, you are supporting the Wolfeboro Area Children’s Center that supports our community through the provision of quality child and family services.
